Provides free, confidential, independent, impartial advice to the general public.

Advice covers a wide range of subjects : Benefits, Housing, Consumer, Relationship issues, Employment, Legal issues, Immigration, Health and Taxes, etc.

There are specialist advice sessions hosted for Debt, Welfare Benefit, Housing, Immigration, Family, Community Care, Bankrupt and Insolvency. Appointments are sometimes necessary.

Additionally, Tameside CAB also currently provides…
- Outreach advice sessions at community locations across Tameside.
- Specialist Advocacy Project for older people placed by Social Care and Health Services in Residential or Nursing Care Homes.
- An Information Shop in Ashton to provide an independent information service about all aspects of Residential & Nursing Care homes in Tameside, including details of current vacancies and details on Home Support Agencies.
